Kristian is a tattoo artist at GRIM Studios in Hamilton, Ontario and one of the most genuinely down-to-earth humans you’ll ever meet. He’s easy to talk to, deeply thoughtful, and takes his career as a tattoo artist very seriously — even if he doesn’t always look like he’s taking himself very seriously.

Kristian’s work is instantly recognizable for its surreal, dark, and often creepy aesthetic, frequently drawing on demonic imagery and unsettling themes. While he can seem quiet at first, don’t be fooled — there is absolutely a goblin living inside him. It just comes out when he tattoos, because he tattoos every piece like the client is his precious. He joined GRIM Studios as an apprentice in January 2019 and has been tattooing professionally full time since March 2020. Kristian is known for some of the strongest linework in the studio, and is especially skilled in fine line, illustrative tattoos, florals, and blackwork designs. His technical precision and consistency make his work both bold and long-lasting.

Kristian is also one of the studio’s resident TikTok and Reels contributors, alongside Memphis. They are known for hating themselves but doing it anyway — though Kristian, notably, does not aggressively recruit everyone else into participating the way the meany Memphis does.

​

Outside the shop, Kristian spends his time with friends, family, his girlfriend, and his three cats. He enjoys tabletop and D&D-style games, live music, and generally existing in a way that is far calmer than his tattoo designs suggest.
