Oteesha — more commonly known as OT — is what you’d get if you crossed an outdoor cat with a raccoon, added chaos, depression, and somehow gave it the ability to run an entire tattoo studio. She is the main studio manager at GRIM Studios in Hamilton, Ontario, which means she keeps the shop functioning, the schedules moving, the problems contained, and the rest of us alive.

OT manages the day-to-day operations of the studio, handles logistics, problem-solving, and crisis management, and is the person everyone looks for when things go sideways. And things do go sideways. Over the years, she’s dealt with shop floods, a dumpster literally being on fire, various intoxicated humans, and a constant stream of Memphis dumping every strange request and most of her personal life directly onto OT’s plate. She handles it all with competence, humour, and an impressive level of restraint.

In addition to running the studio, OT is also a laser technician specializing in complete tattoo removal across all skin tones and ink colours. She is exceptionally skilled at her work and has a rare ability to connect with clients through honesty, empathy, and self-deprecating humour that makes people feel immediately at ease. Her approach is deeply trauma-informed, particularly when working with clients seeking removal for painful, complicated, or heavy personal reasons.

he always has a wild, ridiculous story ready and is dangerously good on Reels and TikTok whenever Memphis inevitably drags her into whatever shenanigan is happening that week. Unfortunately for her, she is the person Memphis involves in everything.

Outside of the shop, OT spends time with her partner and two kids and is a wildly talented baker. She routinely shows up with baked goods that single-handedly improve morale and make everyone feel marginally less sad. Truly a hero.
