Sophia is the newest piercing apprentice at GRIM Studios in Hamilton, Ontario — and yes, she’s also Bridget’s sister, because apparently talent just runs through that family unchecked.

When Sophia first started, she wasn’t entirely sure piercing was the path she wanted to take. That hesitation lasted approximately five minutes. She’s taken to piercing incredibly well and is absolutely killing it, bringing focus, care, and a natural confidence to the craft as she learns and grows.

Clients immediately notice Sophia’s sweet, warm energy. She makes people smile without trying, has a great sense of humour, and delivers genuinely excellent customer service. She’s especially good at putting people at ease, which is a rare and extremely valuable skill in piercing.

Outside the studio, Sophia spends her time with family and friends, going to shows and events, and generally existing as adorable chaos.

She has a collection of hilarious life stories and a résumé full of interesting jobs from before she landed in piercing — ask her about it if you’ve got time, she’ll probably make your day.
